BRINGING THE NATIONS TO GERMANY

Because of the church, I feel so welcomed in Germany and am helping refugees to see that this is a safe place. You get to have immediate friends by walking into a church.

We are back with episode number two in our Missions series. I’m digging this series because we’re getting to hear from missionaries who are both on and off the field, doing all the trust falls daily and often in a different language! Last episode we heard from Laura, a former missionary in Slovakia, who made the difficult yet necessary choice to come back to the states. And now I get to introduce you to Rebekah. It's sometimes said that "if you won’t go to the nations, God will bring them to you." Well that, folks, is what is happening all over the world, especially in Europe as millions of refugees have flooded in seeking a better life. And this is where Rebekah and her organization come in. Listen in as she tells us about all the aspects of her missionary life in Germany.

Bonus questions!

We can’t get to ALL the questions on the podcast, otherwise the episodes would be hours long…you know ya girl can talk! So, I thought it would be fun to ask a few blog post exclusive questions. These are just for fun and often food related 😜:

  1. Thing you love most about Germany/Europe? I love all the history, different languages and cultures crammed into a relatively small area and all the beautiful old buildings and castles.

  2. What you miss most about America? Uhh Chick-fil-a duhhh...Oh and Family and friends.😆

  3. Favorite German word you've learned? “Naschkatze” (translated snacking cat which means someone with a sweet tooth.) or Kitzelig (which means Ticklish)

  4. Favorite new food you've tried? Fav drink is Pimm's from England, and fav new foods would be Persian Barberry Rice with Saffron Chicken or Pastel De Nata's from Portugal.

  5. "American" food you miss the most? Andy's Custard and good old BBQ. And good old free water.

  6. Most German/European thing you do now, that you wish was part of American culture? Keeping my waste to a minimum. It hurts my heart to use plastic or be consumeristic/wasteful with food or packaging.
